China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT)
Fertilizer, Crop, Agro Chemical, Greenhouse, Irrigation Systems
12-13 August, 2025
Expo Center Norte, Rua José Bernardo Pinto, 333, São Paulo, Brazil
Why Exhibit?
Since its first edition in 2005, the China (Brazil) Agrochemicals Expo has become a professional platform for agrochemical enterprises from China and worldwide to expand into Brazil and South America. Over the years, the expo has hosted 250 enterprises with 350 booths, offering business opportunities, market entry support, and strategic guidance for participants.
The expo facilitates access to the latest pesticide registration policies, market trends, product information, new products, and technologies in Brazil and South America. More than 310 companies from China, India, and Brazil have participated, covering pesticide manufacturing, import/export trade, GLP labs, registration consulting, logistics, and legal affairs. Each year, 350+ specialized visitors from 18 countries, including Brazil, China, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Chile, Peru, Mexico, U.S.A., Germany, Italy, Spain, and India,** attend for trade discussions and networking.
Fertilizers are crucial for increasing yields, especially because most Brazilian soils are acidic, which limits nutrient absorption. Acidic correctives like limestone are essential for increasing soil pH and supplying nutrients like Ca and Mg.
Brazil imports 75% of its fertilizer consumption, ranking as the 4th largest fertilizer consumer after China, India, and the U.S. In 2017, fertilizer consumption was 34.439 million tons, with an average annual growth of 4%, above the global average of 2%.
The NPK fertilizer market is highly concentrated, with four companies holding 80% of the market.
In Brazil’s Cerrado region, micronutrient deficiencies (zinc, copper, manganese) limit agricultural yields. Foliar application of micronutrients is highly effective for grains, cereals, vegetables, and fruits.
Unlike NPK fertilizers and pesticides, the crop nutrition segment has 700+ competitors, with 2017 sales of US$ 2.2 billion (≈4.8 million tons), mainly for soybeans, corn, fruits, and vegetables.
Attractive margins and similar distribution channels are encouraging traditional pesticide companies like Syngenta, Copfield/Solus, FMC, and ADAMA to enter the plant nutrition sector.
